It says on the Simmons site they dont do 15" rims anymore..If I need some rims made for Simmons in 15" who are the gurus?..just the rims...not the centres. Any idea of $ each rim?

Rory,
.
Give Neale Wheels a go at Strathfield, Sydney (02)9642 1002. They do composite wheels, alloy centre, steel rim. They may also be able to do alloy rims to match your Simmons.

Let me think about this for abit

If they make the wheels now that Simmon don't
Surely they have the centres and rings seperatly right ?

Have you asked them for just the rings ?

I've to Retro changing the outer section of my simmons - to widen from 7" to 8" and they are supplying them, so you shouldnt have a problem.

Theres that bloke off the highway there near Bob Jane Springwood who does 2nd hand wheels too. Keiths Wheels? Commodore ones are good because they have a small outer offset and a large inner.

John Tetley (who owns Queensland Raceway) bought lakeside a while back, and apparently there were plans to upgrade the track (to make it safe). The intention was to run what he called boutique events (historic and the like) but not major events, because it upsets the local residents...

To upgrade from goat track status is sure gonna take a bit of cash...

Its probably not that bad, but I think the last time I was out there th surface was breaking up in a few places. The A9X Masters are supposed to be there on the 29 th Sept, if all goes to plan. I cant wait anyway !

Rory, what hub/hat/disc combo are you running again? As mentioned expect caliper clearance problems (rim mounting bolts hitting the caliper) with anything other than standard setups...

Assuming you are running a hat/disc combo, it wouldnt be that hard to get some custom hats made with some extra metal on the mounting flange to give the clearance you need...

where's datto.. ? Im sure he would have a suggestion :)

Just realised i put this in the wrong thread  DOH!
