My listing shows 291095 and 291097 but no 6. Both 5/9/73 neither are GTR or xu1

dealer sell code 895.Zone 1...build either side..4.09.73. Very strange..could be something special..but I think you know that already.

You cant...but it is right between 2 eng numbers..same day off memory..Only thing I can think of on the date is it was it was a typical GMH stuffup.

How does the magical list of engine numbers work in terms of dating? Between the first engine number date and the last on the list, is there any non list engine XU1s? (ie is the build period from first to last 73B XU1 inclusive of 'normal' 73 XU1s?)

If not, then a very convincing argument emerges where you can argue that it couldn't be anything but a 73B XU1.

Has anyone checked the list of engine numbers against the fiche and accounted for every number in a car? Is there any list engines not marked as installed on a car on the fiche? If there are engines missing on the fiche then have you considered an archives search against the original rego papers to establish first engine number?

Without having a fiche and knowing exactly what they read/state, is there any other info aside from the engine number that differentiates a 73B XU1 from a 73 XU1?

The date is a weird one though, it is a very deliberate entry, on a typewriter, not a default entry like a computer would make. Why would someone enter a zero date?

If you go through the VIN list there is quite a few of anything with zero date typed in.

So can we say with any certainty that VIN H291046. ADR tagged 9/73 is indeed a Bathurst XU-1???
If so I would call on all the experts to help in explaining the 00/00/00 build date and production dates for this car?????
