Alright, I'll be in the market for a steering wheel in the not too distant future. I'm looking at an Autotecnica 'Dino', which looks sort of like a GTS wheel, except woodgrain rim, chrome spokes, and 3 holes in each spoke.

Show us all a pic of your aftermarket wheels :spoton:

Sorry this isn't in a Torana...but the steering wheel would look (and feel) good in one. But at around $400 a pop, I'll settle for my GTS wheel.

Good enough for me. It's Autotecnica as well.

I dunno what Dinos are, but if it's the same as what OrangeLJ has on his sedan, then every second car has one.

Those old school GTR/Monaro wheels that Dave720 mentioned are from Grant products in USA. Has anyone fitted one of these to their LC/J? I am looking to get one for my HG Prem, but the boss kit is mystery as they dont do aussie cars.

Is there an equivalent US vehicle with the same splines as an early holden?

You'd be better off re-drilling a local boss kit I think, failing that maybe an original wheel could be modified/machined/drilled/tapped to suit that steering wheel.

I just brought a MOMO wheel off ebay, very happy with it. It should look great with the Devil Yellow paint and black outs.

Ebay

At a local revolution race gear they were selling them from $400 so I was happy to get mine for $200.

Cheers

A black wheel won't really go with my interior, which cuts my options down substantially...

I don't particularly want to retrim my LJ, because the original interior is in really good nick.

I personally don't think that would suit your vehicle at all mate. I'd just find some oldschool three spoke thing... I'd use one in mine if I didn't have the Autotecnica one.

Although I do think it looks good in this sedan:
