Hi guys. let me tell you about this xu1 race car modifed sport sedan
man oh man what a car !SORRY NO PIC at this stage !read on!

This old engineer fella up this way who i would like to remain anonymous! he has raced for many years but retied and dose not race it much anymore, some of you guys will know who i am tallking about . this car makes bruce dummits car look slow. not that dummits is slow ether!

I was simply blown away by this guys engineering he has a full egineering work shop in his back yard !simply a gennies in his owne right !
A holden 6 try 350 hp at rear wheels N/A OVER 420+ At the engine !
when he started it up and the way this thing revs was like a moto cycle engine. 8500rpm! like that ! like switching on a light bulb ..with a ford crank

I have never in my life of 38 years heard a holden six that sounded like this. old matei tells me .
This car eats 600hp comaros.on the track, the engine was moved back 6" into the firerwall .
This car is well doc cams log book dating back to the 70s it a genuine xu1 and he was thinking of selling it .. not just to anyone of course! ,
but we want to see him race it againe.
so my friend offed to re spray it for next to nothing! and his eye light up ! the sparks is still there! he was like a big kid when he started it up .asked why it had a two front seats he just smiled..

The engine is a 202 stroked using a highly modified nitrated knife eddged ford crank 235ci ,
The rods he made him self out of ? pistons are custom forged sliper .
huge Roller cam valve train. dry sump. custom oil pump .inlarged and polished oil passagers

The head is somthing special is a original alloy duggen design . that he has highly modified from the original casting about 8k werth of head .

He as changed the spark plug location. and angled the valves the inlets are over 2" diameter!

Carbis are 48mm dellorrtos custom boxed with 3 k/n filter panles on top, air inducted with a flap at the back which he says makes it rev to 8500prm +
He also users 3=webber 45mm but for tight courses as thay limet the engine to 7000 and create a diffrent power spread ..

It has 14 to 1 compression, and runs on avgass mixed with a spiecal cemical to bump the burn up 130+ ron .and yes he has had this wound out too 270kph

The car itself is a 70s looking race car . from its huge hand made custom rear air craft looking alloy wing through to the massive front air damp !
In the rear end there is a cut down dana E48 diff rare as rocking horse poo!with hand made by him billet axels, with whats link rear setup.
Gear box was top loader with hand made staight cut gears,
The engineering in this car is simply amazzing for its time! words can not describe it. WHAT A WEPON !

He asked us not to put pic up !And i will recpect his wishers ,its his babe!
As it will cause a stir it was owned by a well known race car collector that we all no!raced by him before he then purchased and contiued to develop it over many years.

He is very shy type of fella and keeps to him self the most , when he racer,s he does it well , puts it back on the trailer and goes home , rather than hanging around tallking shit with other drivers . :spit: you might see it back on the track soon with a new paint job . which would be unreal..as he is a realy to bloke !

CHEERS !Dave...

If you really wanted to respect the owners wishes, You should have not written anything until it was OK to do so.

By the way ,

Have you heard about the other car that no one else knows about that belongs to the other bloke who used to be associated with the other fellow that we all know but can't talk about?.......... What a weapon.

I'll tell you about it later.

John.
