She is just interested in finding out who owns and if she can get contact details of whos running the ex alan grice craven mild A9X.
I found this much-
"Tony, a Melbourne power steering reconditioner, located the ex-Alan Grice Craven Mild two-door Torana A9X that the Sydney driver raced at Bathurst in 1978 and used throughout the 1979 season. It was still in its original racing condition when Tony began racing it two years ago and today hes snapping at the heels of the Group C category leaders in historic races"
Anyone know "Tony"
any help or old photos of the car and team would be handy.
Thanks.
Chris

I remember seeing this car (late 70's or early 80's) street registered in Sydney in its full race trim being driven by an "L" plate driver!!!!!this is the car she is chasing-
It pulled up at the Speed shop my brother was working at.
It sounded real good with its side pipe exhaust.

mid year he advertised 2 for sale
I can only assume they sold because not long after that he wrote off 2 cars and had to purchase 2 more from other race teams so he could do Bathurst.
In 1980 he continued to race a Torana and destroyed it at oran park in the last round. An ex painter I know told me his brother owned that car, still smashed as last raced bought from Grice in 1980. He never fixed it and as far as I know it's still sitting in the shed smashed up.
A guy who was a forum member here claimed he had the car from Bathurst 1979 and he lives in Sydney. It's road registered.
By my count, depending on what happened to the cars after he wrote them off, not too many would still exist

The allan grice a9x hatch that was smashed in 1980 was according to a book called Holden vs Ford (printed in 1985) converted into a sports sedan and raced again but nothing else was said about that car. I have a picture of the smashed car out of the book with a small story on it, but its still packed in a box in the shed, it also show a few smashed LJ and LH toranas.
No doubt as mentioned theres another 4 or 5 craven mild cars built.
