A mate of mine is building a new bottom end after shooting a rod out the side of the block at about 450rwhp and wants stronger rods this time round im sure there bmw? or vw golf but from what model(s)/ engines?
any help would be greatly apreciated cheers, Luke

I wouldn't say so. But i'd love to see it if it is!!!
I didn't think that a 202 black could handle that kinda power. you might even need custom rods made.

cheers for that, Its a efi black 202 with a v1 or v2 vortech with 25psi? and running methonal i think thats about it

Greg (82911) would now of the super strong rods available for a red 202, among these are Argo, Carrillo and, I think, some BMW ones.

A friend of mine races group NC his 202 approx 300hp he uses BMW rods but you need specially made pistons as the rods are 6inch. Sunburst

To the best of my knowledge M3, I will ask the exact model next time we speak, pistons were custom made by Cosworth. Sunburstwhat bmw engine do these rods come out of?

just out of interest what is the most powerful holden 6 with standerd stroke and a holden head (not a jzed or twin cam)
