Never seen one put into a Torrie. You would have to find the particular box you want first, then look into it. I don't think you'll get anything to bolt up to a Holden motor easily... why the hell do you want one anyway? I thought they sucked.

Howard has a dog box in Litre8. Jherico 5 speed.

You still need to use a clutch to take off, but can change without the clutch after that...

It is doable, but costly.

Brands that make the boxes include Jherico, Hollinger (same as used in v8 superclones) and prolly a couple of other ones.

Expect to spend upwards of $10,000 for the box alone, then atleast another $5,000 making it fit and work.

The only other thing i can think of that you might be talking about is a fully manualized auto. Either an auto box that doesnt change gears or a Manual without a clutch, whichever way you look at it.

Got one of these setups in my car now, awesome fun box. Way cheaper than ^^^ to.

Cheers.

I know this is abit off topic but i work for a company that sells Isuzu Trucks and they have had out for around a year or so now a box called AMT ( Automated Manual Transmission ) Its made by putting a Manual and automatic box together as one. It still drives like a manual but there is no clutch pedal so u still get the lag between the gears but u can adjust that with a turn dial switch. You can also shift manually with the Sequential shifter or you can wack it back into Automatic and it will shift for you. I know it is a Truck but it shows there are boxes out there like it just a matter of how much you want to spend.

Cheers

I didn't know that was the kind of box that LITRE8 ran. I was just thinking of the boxes like in the Smart Roadster, where you can't even get the revs up before you take off. My bad

g-Force do a few clutchless boxes but I they are drag only and down shifting is generally not recommended.

A lot of delivery vans have an automatic manual box these days.
Computer controlled shifting, clutch acuation and throttle control.
Merecedes Sprinter is one and has had it for around 6 years that I know of.
