Anyone got any pics of modified or updated UC hatches?
Ever seen an LX interior change over?

Also, any pics of modified UC hatch exteriors - ie. spoilers, tail lights (real not PShop) etc.

Front end changes? ie. cosmetic, not suspention.

Cheers, Leakey [soon2bUC]

Go back to the first Members Projects & Plans threads and you will find HardleyNormal's UC hatch, that had a nice interior IMO. I loved his dash.

Otherwise... yeah I have a few pics, bug me later :P

Yeah!! absolutely T!

Dash and doors are what I'm after. They can easily be translated to hatch.

Do you have a photobucket link?

Ooops, forgot I replied to this post until just now. Sorry guys.

Here are some pics of the interior. This is what it was like when I bought the car so the work isnt my own. Door trims are rather boring and after seeing Hardly Normals I might try something like that plus some billet window winders and door handles.

Dash is incomplete and I really need to do something with the wireless and ashtray panel. Most likely remove it altogether and make up a guage cluster. Instrument cluster needs looking at too. I will be using Autometer or similar guages, the ones with white face and orange needles. Carpet Im still deciding on, would like to go with a white/cream colour not sure yet.

Anyway, enough dreaming for now. The interior is white vinyl with orange piping.

Hope this helps.

Cheers,

T

Id say you need to get a can of the "plastic" paint stuff T. and do in some of the black plastic areas to white. would look mint! god, my interior is hard enough to keep clean, let alone pure white!

Wow T, that's nuts! what an awesome interior.

I have to say that the interior light in black lets the whole car down.
Such a pity.... could have been something awesome..... - kidding :tease:

I have been playing in Photoshop wth some unusual combo's.

I want it to look factory, but not.... IYKWIM.

Gonna draw a few cues from early Commo.

Will be easier to see/understand when I actually have a car!

Cheers, Leakey

Cheers, thanks man. :spoton: It was the interior that caught Mrs Big T's eye and led to me buying the car.

I'm sitting here thinking "what the hell is IYKWIM"..... got it now, and yeah, I know what ya mean :D

Black interior light, hmmm, didnt really take much notice of it but it could do with a colour change hey. Looks like the white vinyl spray can is getting a shake up soon.

Post up ya photochops when you are done man, would be interesting to see the results.

The tops of the doors and top half of the pad are a dark brown/charcoal.

The pad and dash are combo cream/charcoal, with a chrome 'hump'
dividing the two colours.

Flat panels are brushed aluminium.

All other plastic is satin black.

The centre console has an infill that connects the handbrake section
and the gear lever cowl. The insert is also brushed aluminium.

Seats are combo cloth and vinyl, with the vinyl charcoal. Carpet charcoal/black.

Door skins have fabricated arm rest and window switch, charcoal, that runs total
length of door and up in to the dash. Cloth insert, cream, ribbed. Oh and map pockets.

The door handle/arm rest and the console insert is the only thing added.
The rest is cosmetic.

Anyhoo, that's the first idea, still working on a few more.

I'd like to have a theme based around what would GM have done if they continued
the SS in to the UC range.

Diagonal lines in doortrim should go the other way IMO.

Tried that, they conflict with the upward angle of the arm rest then.
You get wierd little triangular bits.

Thanks for noticing though!

Thanks Big T.

Now I just need the car, for starters.
Then I need to start playing.

Keep you posted.

Will add pics real/photoshopped as I do/make them.
