Just got my little beast on the road and came accross a problem my odometer works fine but the speedo doesnt move at all .I took it to an insrument repairer who bench tested it for me and pulled it down and gave it a once over and he showed me it was working fine . Problem i have is that i put it in the torrie again and i have the same problem . Any thoughts? any one else experienced this ? My next option is to take the cable off at the opel and see if it spins byhand/drill and see if the needle moves that way .As i saw it spin when the Instruement repairer did it . and if it does could it be a drive gear problem .Any thoughts would be appreciatted . Thanks for the quick reply my curiosity got the better of me and i pulled the cable off the gearbox end and spun it by hand. Sure enough as i thought the speedo worked so i thought i am up for a speedo drive for an opel but i need to drive the car so i screwed the cable back on and nipped it up but not as tight as it was and low and behold the damm thing works fine now .i rekon the inner cable cable mayve bound up ? Thanks for your reply Wangman
