Gday, was wondering if anyone on the site has purchased
1 of the GTR XU1 interior vinyl kits on Ebay.
I'm in need of the 2 strips for the tops of the doors in long
grain for mid 73 LJ. How close to original pattern is the repro
long grain vinyl?
Or should I buy the complete kit so it all matches? hhmmm
Cheers Jono

the vinyl is made by nylex..they made it back then, i beleive over time it has become more grainier....meaning you probably have less grain on your original ones than what you would receive

even tho its made by the same mob, i would buy the lot as they arent that expensive anyway and you would be assured then its all same,

If you dont you will have new and old, sure they would have faded after this many years, you sit something new next to it and i think it will stand out

they arent a copy vinyl...its the real stuff, just realisticly would be different than from 30 odd years ago

Yeah cheers mate,
Thats the impression I was getting from your
pic of the long grain (slighty more lines/grain).
But as you said theres probably gonna be a
difference between old & new. Whats your price
on a kit in long grain & any idea on postage to Perth.
cheers jono
