Glue some carpet on top of it???
Will stop the cracking at least .
Last one i had a go at repairing was from my old Mazda ute. I removed it from the car, sanded it back smooth with a speed file then filled the cracks with bog. Then trimmed it. Came up ok, and two years on still looks the goods.

I think they inject resin into the crack then paint it but do not know how to.

i stripped the vinyl off mine, then cleaned up the cracks in the foam by cutting them to a V shape, then get the expanding foam spray stuff and fill the cracks, it will expand heaps. just wait till it drys then cut off the excess expanding foam and then sand the repaird cracks flush and to shape. then re-trim the crashpad and its done!
