I have a 2 door lc GTR was wondering if 4 door seats fit in a 2 door? I think the bottom of 4 door seat rear is too small? Also are they the same seats as GTR. is there any difference as im looking at buying some & having them retrimmed to GTR?
Anyone have a set? or a pic of the difference?

The base of a 4 door seat is rounded for ease to get in and out via the doors. 2 door seats are square as a passenger getting in must squeeze in via the front seat being pushed forward.

The only difference for the front seats as far as I am aware is the bracket holding the top and base. The 4 door is solid where as the 2 door pivots forward.

Edit:
There is a difference between 4 cyl/S models and GTR/SL seat-backs.. they don't have the high back step-up.

While on topic... does anyone have a good photo of the TOP of the REAR seat-back GTR/SL version? I need to see how the edge is finished for some home repairs!

the high back section is just hard foam packing so you can use "S" seat frame and convert.
the front seats have diif size mounting brackets for the back section, inside bracket is much smaller than outer bracket thus when pushed forward seat tilts toward the trans tunnel
would think you could cut and mod the inner bracket but haven't done it yet, would need diff mounting bolts as well with pivoting section
Smeer I have seats / sections so will get pic of original pattern / style if no one beats me to it, a lot around though have been repaired and was done simply and cheaply by running straight across the top instead of up the front

Thanks limo. Mine has had a repair job.. stitching etc is done very well but i think maybe the foam is too small and the sausage seam edge doesn't line up correctly. Might have a go at fixing it.

that's excellent, exactly what I needed... the over hang was the important bit.
thanks a LOT!
