My car is a 4/71 gtr and dash is dated 2/71 on all 6 gauges.
The speedo shows 200 KPH on outside and 120 MPH inside, both are in white (not faded yellow or a sticker), at the top of speedo face is a very small number 127.
Does anyone have a speedo the same as this and is it possible these were used in the late lc range ?

It seems to be '73. There are other threads on the subject - from memory I think the mph/kph were mid '73.

MPH/KPH hour speedo came in mid 73. My 5/73 SL has MPH and my 9/73 S has MPH & KPH.
I am pretty sure the cars are quite orginal.

I did see the thread start ages back but couldnt find it.
The only reason why I asked is that my dash does'nt appear to have been unscrewed.

Just to add some more to this debate.
I'm about to cut up a one owner lc sl 4 door with wood grain trimming inside. The dash matches the woodgrain door trims and has 160 kph/ 100 mph, in white, on its face dating 8/70.
Maybe its a coincedence but thats the second dash out of an lc with kph/ mph on there face dating '71 and earlier.
I know people are saying 72/73 (xu1's?) had kph/mph but where is it in print and how does anyone know that it wasnt an option?
