Hey,

On my lx the hi beams aren't working- traced it back to the dipper switch. The 2 wires have come off the 3 little terminals on the switch. Is there supposed to be a 3rd wire? Terminals are numbered 123. From memory- i think there was a white and green wire- anyone know which one goes where?

Cheers

Without looking at a wire diagram (It's not at home at the moment), should be across the normally open pair.
Checked my new spare switch, unfortunately it has C - NO - NC not 123.
So for the new switch its C - NO, its easy to check with a test light.
1 - 2 or 1 - 3 their should be no light until you press the button.
Someone else with a wire diagram should be able to confirm this, or i can tomorrow.

The diagram I have shows 2 wires to the dipper switch.

It also says the wire to the relay is the white wire.

I assume the green goes to earth as per the diagram but it doesn't state a colour.

Without more info I would assume that the relay is a "changeover" relay that contacts one beam when powered up and the other when at rest.

Page 1 of this thread gives a bit more of a clue:

As Rodomo said, switches the earth (11) to the headlight relay (15) on the white wire.
