I can only use the manual I have as a reference and has the same cover as the second picture. Effective date of the one I have here is March 1976 and while it has 4 cylinder stuff in it, there is nothing that suggests Sunbird and for the V8 there is very little mention pollution gear - EGR valve etc - which came in with ADR27a.

The other manual "may" have some A9X stuff and more references to pollution gear and updates to part numbers.

My parts manual is fine for me as my car is May 1976 and before ADR27a.

you type [.IMG] before the URL you pasted, and then [./IMG] after the URL you pasted. (don't leave spaces) so [.IMG]URL[./IMG] (remove dots for actual use - stupid forums)

The reason I say that Lexa, is because you don't have to actually use the 'Link' tool any more, you can just paste a full URL and it will link.

Or you can just copy the whole thing from the Photobucket IMG box.

The top ones are mine that I just sold on ebay, they contain all the a9x options, with illustrated pictures of them, they are very hard to get, thats why they went for $456 I suppose. cheers.

Hi nGuys.

The 1st ones were printed at the LX release & are dated March '76. These will have no mention of ADR27A stuff, Sunbirds, A9Xs or anything else released during the LX's model run. This stuff was made after the books were printed.

The 2nd book was printed June '80 so it will have everything released during the LX's model run. There will be a matching volume for the late one as well, one contains illustrations & one contains text.

It's good to have someone that knows exactly what he is saying. Dr Terry, why does the 1st one have 'Sunbird' printed on the cover and the other doesn't? because out of a few posts, only chaotic questioned it's information on the whole range of models.

Trouble is Terry, that the first one (marked sunbird) does have all the models, and including all the a9x options.

TOP ONE (yellow) IS THE LATER VERSION HAS A9X AND SUNBIRD, THE BOTTOM DOES NOT HAVE A9X OR SUNBIRD. There are also some differences in ADR's at the time.

Hi Guys.

Yes, RTS Guy gets what I was saying.

The 1st ones printed, which are the the pink & blue striped versions (bottom of the picture) are the March 76 ones with no mention of Sunbird or A9X.

The 1980 editions are the yellow & green striped versions (top of the picture). These ones list all models.

Dr Terry.
