anyone got any pics and sizes of 17inch wheels on flared toranas, i plan on running 17x10 and 17x9 with 255,s re55 on back and 235 re55 on front any ideas.thanks guys,

55 is a bloody big sidewall for a 17, especially of that width...

tyre size is 255x40x17 235x40or45x17( re55) is the bridgestone tyre.has anyone run this size before.

G'day Mate,
check out the pics of my car on the link below in my sig.
Mine are 17 x 9.5 on the rear (Dragway don't do a 10" or I would have got that)
and 17 x 8 on the front.
My tires are 285/40s and 255/40's respectively.
You will have to be very careful with front offset to make those rims fit and you will probably butt heads with the RTA over the front track you will need to run.
I would have thought a 235 is a little narrow for a 9" rim though, I used to run them on 8's and they were slightly narrower than the 8" rim. You would get them on the rim though I'd say.
My front flares have been fitted a little differently to allow the wheels to turn full lock without tearing out the front of the flare. I am not referring to how I have trimmed the flares either, the flare itself has been stretched forward about 25mm at the front with the rear bit mounted in it's normal location.

thanks for that, toranamat69. your hatch looks great.im building an a9x replica hatch starting with a uc ,building it to do some club events and maybe some targas,looking at your photos you would be a great guy to talk to about steering and suspension,anyway hope we can have a chat sometime.i,m on the gold coast
