Hi guys I have a LH SLR and I am looking for the standard ride hieght. Where and how do you measure the standard ride hieght. I measured my rears from center of wheel to edge of guard with no flairs and it measured 360mm. Is this the correct ride height.
Thanks

Correct ride height may change over time- as things settle & get old. Doesnt one side of the car normally sit higher at the front anyway.
Do you mean 'factory ride height'- what sort of SLR is it 6cyl/ 253/ 308.
My car was lowered when I bought it, so I just put in standard height springs. I think a place like King Springs can just make standard height springs to order.
cheers

Hi fatlh my car is an original V8 SLR. It has a 308 turbo 400 and a 9". The reason I asked the question was because my suspension is sagged and I am buying 4 new springs. I want the rear to sit 360mm from center of wheel to guard and I want the front to sit 340mm from center of wheel to guard. If this is close to standard I was going to order standard springs.
Thanks for the help

I will measure my car as per your request- from the centre of the hubcaps to the lower edge of the guard- I will measure the fronts on both sides.
The springs have been changed in the last year so the car shouldnt have settled too much.
I should be with my car in the next few days- I dont have a garage so it doesnt live with me unfortunatley.

ring Kings and ask them, tell them what you want and I am sure they will tell you what model you need.

^ Yes, spring manufactures make springs with the measurements you have given in mind so if you tell them you have a V8 Torana and want 340mm at the front thats what you should get.
