lucky me picked up a puncture today (My second in 3 weeks) and since the tyre was 'unroadworthy' and couldn't be repaired I am up for 2 new tyres.
It appears Sumitomo no longer do at 205/60R13 (which is a pity cause i thought it was a half decent tyre) so all i have been offered is a Hankook. Anyone had any experience with them?
I know 205/60R13 is a 'dinosaur' size but Sprintmasters only came in 13 x 6". I'm not keen to return to the stockies or fork out more money for some 14" or 15" Torana stud pattern rims so i have more tyre choices.

Can't help with the Hankook's but I put a couple of 205/60/13" Nankang's on my 7" rims, seem a reasonable tyre and were well priced - about $70.00 each.
They make nice smoke too

Hankook aren't bad at all, they're similar in quality to Kumho's. Have a set on my fiancee's mum's car and they seem to be doing fine, she's had them on for around 20,000km's so far and they've hardly worn

My problem is the car is a daily driver, and I really like the look of the Sprintmasters and wide tyres as well as the obvious improvement in cornering you get from wider tyres.

Dear Stephen
We have one tyre in that size it's the Bridgestone Potenza GIII 87H this tyre is a mid range performance tyre with a directional tread pattern, there are 53 in our w/house and the recommended retail is $164.00. this is a recommended price only if you ring a Bridgestone tyre centre near you on 131 229 it will be more than likely cheaper than that. If you have any further queries on this matter please do not hesitate to contact me.
Regards

I got a flat in Ararat a few weeks ago on the trip back from Adelaide ( after being stuck at Keith for a night with a rooted elec dizzy!) ...wen i got back i went to the guys at widetread FTG....they quoted me $100 for hankook dinosaur tyres, same size lol. Fitted it and it seems good, ive got yokos on the front in that size but aparently they only get 1-2 shipments per year of those and are as rare as rocking horse do do now. Hankook seem fine n if ive still got the hotwires wen i need to change tryes again i rekon ill go with them

Brad
**O lmao...the tyre in my avatar is the one that died

I am looking at finally getting the GTR on the road and will be running Sprintmaster wheels.
Prices I have had for 205/60/13 are:
Yokohama Y352 $152@ don't do anything smaller than a 205
Falken 912 $128@ also do a 185
Maxxis 603 $103@ also do a 185
I would like to run the 205's all round but not sure if the front will rub. I'm running a standard front end with slightly rolled guards
Is anyone running 205's all round or smaller 185's/195's with a different tyre combination?.
Appreciate any feedback.

My little torana scrubed front and rear with super lows and factory lip. Had to raise an inch(one inch lowered) and give 1 deg neg camber to stop it. Only scrubs rears now when I go fast over a big dip with the haines hunter on the back and four people in the car.

I have no scubbing issues with the 205/60R13s except on funny angles going up and down driveways. That was 1" lowered.
