so many cars it is hard to get around and see all of them during the day. they just keep pouring in through the gates.
i will be going with the Vic Torana Club, we are meeting at Calder at 7am and leaving at 7:30 am.
you can pay your entry fee there which allows you to drive straight in the gates. and usually theres a free breakfast too.
always a great day.
is there many from the forum going?

Are shitty painjobs allowed in? Or is it shiny paintjobs only, like the Boronia Rod Run thing?

For those who didn't make it, over 2000 cars showed up (which is typical, they average two thousand or so each year) which were mostly beautifully presented machines.

I wonder if they did a count at the entry. I'm not sure what 2000 cars looks like but when I went for a walk, there were cars and cars and cars as far as eye could see in all directions, Fields and fields of the things. There must've been more that 2000 maybe even 3000. I spent hours trying to look at them all and filled the memory of two phones with pictures.
There were some NICE (showcar level) Torry's there too hiding here and there. The problem was that they were all spread out all over the place. Would've been better for them to organised the makes and models in different areas. Although that's what certian groups did anyway like the Monaros, VolksWagons and E & F series holdens and some other american cars.
The whole thing was very relaxed and pleasant. Everyone had smiles on their faces. There was also a large motorbike display with an impressive row of harley trikes.
I would recommend this event to ANYONE.
Guaranteed to see things you haven't seen before.
