Hi mate what the hell are you doing pulling the car apart it looked good when i saw it last or is it 3 steps forward 2 steps backwards mate if you need a hand just let me know as nothing is going on in my neck of the woods with my car bens way too buisy at the moment i just need paint now .

not much to say really.car is basically a bare shell.changing a few things that i was never happy with.tubs,paint etc
life has kinda got in the way a bit with a kid and the missus at uni etc. that and its one of 4 project cars that i have.
next year will have it pretty much done as i'm working for 2 days a week and not 7

Always knew there was something funky about my pipes, especially after the horror story you went through
Car is being finished now and the place its at didn't want to go near them without a blast
This is how worse than anyone could imagine they turned out to be, you should see the actual exhaust to, its pretty bad if not worse than the extractors

That is Bad Welding Dan,
Porosity is the word for the holes in the weld, not enough Argon gas,
and look's like a rush job with the rest of the welding,
and spot welding is for pre-holding before welding up completely.

I think you will find those pipes have been welded with a gas less mig, from the look of those welds

Obviously the welding is poor, but do they actually leak? Its clearly enough to make them hold together so they may still be functional if not pretty

They don't even fit properly 76lxhatch so not even functional, clear holes in lots of the joins also and some joins are only tacked
Struggler, yep advertises as "race pipes and custom exhausts". Will do pics of the actual exhaust to. Don't want to name and shame yet as i want to try get some money back, only posted on moot's build because he got screwed by the same person and didn't get any money back either
