Is anyone interested in XU-1 rear muffler clamps ?
I have a NOS 1 here and could remake some if there's a need.

Hi
Is that the clamp with the flattened curved part of the U? If that is what you are talking about, 2 are required - 1 in front of the muffler and 1 rearward.

Its the "d" shaped clamp that attaches to one of the chrome tips on the muffler.
The other part I was after sizes for is the strap which goes between the clamp and the rubber bush on the body.
I'll take a pic when I can get around to it.

Does LC use the same clamp?. As i am led to believe.LC XU1's used a single exhaust pipe for the outlet not 2 as for the LJ's..Correct if i'm wrong.

Hi
The GMH sourced Dealer Service Bulletin diagram (June '70') in Viv Antoniou's book shows the LC XU1 only having a single tail pipe using exhaust clamps with a flattened curve. It also shows clearly the brackets and hangers.

G'day Pip
The 1971 Bathurst XU-1 ( CK engine ) had a dual outlet rear muffler - at least
the car I owned from 1972 - 6 had that type of rear muffler and no front resonator.
It was grumpy and loud - but the standard set up for that car.
I also believe that the twin outlets were bigger in diameter than the LJ XU-1 muffler -
I suggest it was 2 inch inlet and twin 1 3/4 or 1 7/8 inch outlets with the clamp & hanger at the back attached to only one of the outlets.
Thats my recollection anyway - not sure about the earlier LC XU-1s - probably as stated in the service bulletin on P 123 on the Antoniou book as Bazza has indicated.
Cheers JR.
