Cool John!

I cant make it till Well.... after may to be honest... Between the wedding, Paintball commitments and being BROKE.... i've got buckleys till after the end of may!

But dont organise stuff around me, choose a date that suits the majority and i'll do my best to come along! I think it would be an awesome fun day!

I'll give Howard ( Litre 8 ) a call and see if he would wheel the beast out for the day too!

Cheers

ok guys i have the date 29 may

i have asked the sydney torana club if we can join them on their day and all is ok here is what they have said to me about coming with them

The STC is planning a track day on the 29th May and all things being equal it will go ahead. There is sometimes an issue if Wakefield cancels the day for other events but we can't control that.

You are certainly quite welcome to join us for the day. The more the merrier!

Our only stipulation on joining us is that your group would be there as a guest of the STC and as such should abide by reasonable standards of behaviour which as you would understand, we don't want to bring any ill feelings or disrepute towards the club.

most importantly ALL ARE WELCOME
doesnt matter what you drive

so start planning for the 29 of MAY its going to be a great day

Craaaap... I've got a paintball tournament on the weekend of the 25th... in Perth!

I doubt i'll be able to take enough time off work to make both so i may have to gie this a miss!

Sounds like it'll be a top day though, should be good to see some of the STC cars too!

Cheers!

May 29th probably works for me. I am currently in Bangalore, India. My 4 week stint concludes this Thursday but I may be back here in June. Got to be looking forward to that.

Are STC booking the circuit exclusively? Weekends are bad there for the rice brigade so a week day like the 29th probably has less crazy people on the circuit.

hmm, I am very tempted...but its all depending upon my 202 being build and installed in the LJ before then. Plus i should be in fine form considering I have a Mercedes Benz track day the week before at Eastern Creek!!
Would even come along just to get a passenger ride with Greg in his XU1 :spoton:

From Wakefield's website:-

Speed Off The Streets

Wakefield Park also offers Speed off the Street Days, where road-registered street cars and bikes can run on the circuit for a small fee. Drivers/Riders can learn how their vehicle can really perform, in order to better understand how to control their vehicle on the road.

Just bring yourself and your street car and for just $110 per day or your road bike for just $120 per day (week days) you can experience what it's like to Drive/Ride around a race track. Drivers need to wear appropriate attire:

 Approved road use helmet (also available for hire at track)
 Neck-to-wrist-to-ankle clothing protection (could be long sleeve shirt and long pants)
 Closed in shoes (cover ankle to toe)

Track Hire

Track Pricing for 2008

* Saturdays $4,600
* Sundays $4,800 (and public holidays)
* Weekdays $3,500
* Any CAMS events will attract a $500 levy which will be charged in addition to the circuit hire.
* Insurance cover is mandatory AASA Permit $800
* Ambulance $550 per day
* Track Marshal $280
* Control Tower $200 per day
* There are other options on standby eg water truck, witches hats. Phone for details and costs.

Personally, I'd save my breath GTR469. :blink:
