Hey there. I was wondering i purchased a "2600" petrol cap off evilbay & the guy says its been off the car for over 30 yrs,when it arrived home the cap is in exceptional condition BUT where the cork seal is on the back the metal behind that it rests against is like cadnium plated not brass like the other originals i have & also the piece that fits into the key way on the filler neck & locks the cap on is steel not copper like the others i have the rest looks identical,my question is, do they make repo petrol caps & do they make repo "2600" decals.I'm just wondering if its fake of have i got exactly what i paid for???? Any help ?????

I have a 2250 cap here that is like the one you describe (2600).

I thought they made up 2250, 2600 and 3300 fuel caps for LC/J Toranas. I have a 3300 one on my parts car.
