nice boat, how speed will go? Nothing more scarier than being a passenger in
a real fast boat.

Lakeside it wont go as fast as it used too go as it was a class winner and record holder a few years ago in the southern 80 (6 liter class) i bought it less motor and the chev ive fitted is just a hydrolic cam 350 with te 6/71, id say it will have around 450HP, plenty enough for a social ski boat. It is a balsa floor race hull with all the good bits and i do have a 6 liter race engine if we want to go ski racing but as im in QLD and the events are mostly down south i doubt that will happen.
Back to you question im guessing about 80-90MPH ill tell you when i get it in the water but with a few more HP its a geniune 100+ MPH race boat.
And for those thats intrested its a genuine STEPHENS by Physco marine race hull. its race name was "MIGRAINE" when it was raced

My mate is into hot rods which i think is comparable, but i keep trying to convince him power boats rule, what could be better that V8 power, no brakes and no speed limit :spoton: :spoton: :spoton: :spoton: :spoton:

I've been 100MPH on water, and i tell you, its scary as all f*ck.

It's completely different to any other "fast" feeling you can imagine.

Whent he only thing in the water is the prop and a smidge of the hull, it likes to move around alot with the chop!

went for a ride in a ride in once, hit 88mph though the the bends and lost apart of the prop. Told everyone i'd never get in this boat ever again . Next summer out boading on the piss and got in it again. 100mph down the lake and back, all i done was shit all the way and could get out fast enough.

f*ckIN ACE!!!

Im a big fan of speed boats, mate of mine has a jet boat with a mild 350 in it, tops out around 60mph but still good fun. Ever since getting into that thing i've wanted one, its on the list for after the Harley is payed off lol.

Your thing looks fantastic, going by those speed estimates and the way the motor is sitting im guessing its a V drive prop jobbie???

Cheers.
