It is with much sadness and a very heavy heart that i can confirm that 'daz' daryl caine has indeed passed away during this past long weekend.
I am sorry for the delay in confiming the earlier post by kaz which was removed earlier in the week but as executor of daz's estate there were a number of things that had to be put in place first.
sadly daz took his own life in a non violent manner, which is an all to common occurence in this day and age.
daz will be sorely missed by many friends and loved ones both close and afar.
daz's funeral service is to be held at centennial pk on the 21 st of june (sat). please note that this is a tentative date to be confirmed along with a time as soon as is possible.

i miss my old amigo big time already...............regards laz

As Laz knows ..we talked on Friday night..discussed how there was no time to get here this year for Speed on Tweed..Larry kept ringing him on the mobile while we were talking until I joking told him to "Tell Larry to PISS OFF!"..Which he laughed and did. We were talking of arranging the trip next year..and maybe even me coming to Adelaide for a run if finances and time permitted. Told him the car was a motza and to finalise the COD which is well in hand.
I was shocked when Larry rang..I still am actually....
We have lost one of our TRUE Torana enthusiasts.

Keep the pedal floored up there Sonny...Tell Brock to move over..You are coming through. Will be sadly missed but not forgotten.

Like many here we are in shock.
Such a tragic loss.
Can't say we knew Daz well, but will sure miss seeing him at meetings and cruises and chatting to him.
Such a nice bloke.
I'm sure he will have lots to talk about with Brocky.

RIP Daz.

RIP, very sad, but he has left us Torrie lovers with a great legacy.

On a lighter note, I hope this isn't what happens when you finish your car!!! Be careful what you wish for.

Miss Hatchy and I were really saddend  when we herd the news.
Daz opened up to Miss hatchy on the Forum cruise about some of the troubles he had been having recently, it shouldn't happen to good people.
A genuine good bloke that will be sadly missed, may he rest in peace.
