V8 LPG..

You CAN make more HP with LPG, just have to get the right setup...

Gas research twin throttle bodies, 400 and 440 CFM on a 308.

Check my other posts for more details on the car.

86l tank in the boot, im seriously considering twins though.. I havent run it yet, maybe tomorrow... but ... my friend has a 393CI ford running the same setup and it goes harder on LPG than it did on high octane petrol.. wicked really and at the cost of fuel now..

woosh.. PJ.. :<_<:

that looks sweet mate, what comp and cam are you running? i am thinking of geting rid of the petrol tank when my gas 355 goes in (hopefully before the end of the year), cut the floor out of the boot and weld a fake drop tank in and use two long skiny tanks in the drop tank part and cover it over so i still can put stuff in the boot.

Theres actually a scuba tank setup that I have seen, which is basically a few scuba sized LPG tanks daisy chained together, these can be quite flat whilst retaining reasonable capacity... There are also the toroidal tanks which are like a doughnut and designed to fit the spare wheel well under most vehicles.

Have a look at what I mean here:

APA tanks

Myself I think I'll do the same thing with a fake aluminium droppy that houses 2 very "mad max'ish" 86L tanks.

Regards.

As opposed to a petrol powered ADR271A compliant 308.

Cheers.

Compression is fairly high using ACL high comp pistons .040" over, I havent tested the comp ratio yet but I'd hazard a guess at 8:1, cam is smooth, the exact specs again I'm unsure so I'll ask the engine builder.. I think he said stage 3.. but that could mean anything. Anyway the car was smooth with generous Hp on ULP so I hope it's going to suit the LPG as well.. the dyno will speak volumes so when I get it tuned I'll post the graph up for all to see.

BTW, whats with the filler neck on the right rear qtr panel and are those LED taillights?

Cheers. PJ.

they are leds, i welded a plate in over the old tail light hole and bolted up the leds. the filler neck is for the curant lpg tank same as yours( mounted in the boot) its dual fuel at the moment but when the new motor goes in the petrol tanks coming out. if the enging was running on petrol before you should get your dissy regraphed (if you havn't already) as gas likes lots of advance at idle and only a little more once its reving unlike petrol which needs a little at idle and alot once its reving.

Thanks for that, the dizzy is a replica MSD street fighter that'll be ripped out asap, I've already had to hack it to suit the MSD 6AL CDI ignition.. as soon as the rego comes about i'll go for the best electronic MSD setup I can buy.. I'll never waste money on shit ignition components again.. :furious:

If i doesnt have genuine MSD or simular tags DONT BUY IT.. ive been burned so bad by ebay shit that I just want to warn you all.!!! NO MORE IGNITION STUFF FROM EGAY!!!!! :furious:
