Im under 25 and am struggling to get a half decent price for car insurance. either the premium is through the roof or the value of the car is so low that its a joke. I remember reading on a thread on here a while ago about insurance. it was for cars over 30 years old and offered agreed value and had really good premiums. i thought it was called classic and vintage insurance and it was through aami but i just rang aami and i was wrong. i rang them last year and got through to them but my car (77 x hatch) wasn't on there list yet and they told me i have to wait till this year to go with them. now i cant remember who it was. any help would be great.

also how how much is everyone else paying if you dont mind me asking? if you could put up a little summary it would be greatly appreciated. (your age, what model car, value insured for, premium and who's it with etc)

cheers

Mines with Shannons has been for a few years I'm 26 it costs me about $250 odd but.... it's on a limited usage policy (e.g. can only use it for so many odd km's per year) but... the policy I'm on is an agreed value type one and I have free glass replacement and salvage rights but..... The excess is I think a few hundred $'s(I can dig out the policy sheet and get exact figures off that if you want).

Maybe it was GIO i was thinking of.

with shannons ive given up with them, everyone keeps telling m to give them a try and recon they will insure under 25's but ive rang them 3 times now over the last 3 years and one of the first things they ask is are you over 25, no, sorry we cannot help you. and pretty much hang up on ya.

thanks for the replys guys. i'll ring GIO on monday, and might try shannons again.
