Hi Les.Do you do the tyre plackard sticker that goes inside the glove box lid on an XU-1?I know you can get them for LH-LX but havn't seen them for LC-LJ.

Hi

There's no mention of a tyre placard in the Feb '72 print of the LJ catalogue. There are 5 different ones listed in the LX catalogue.

Cheers

Hi, I have also wondered about the tyre placards on the LJ's.
My 5/73 XU-1 has a placard in the glove box with part number 9930027ND.
It has a few bubbles and some missing print but I can see it has 4 rim/tyre combos listed and one is the 6.00JJ CR70R13.
Is this an original tyre placard?
Does this indicate that my car could have come with the 6" sprintmasters?
I assume that as it has the 6" rims listed it is for the late 72 and 73 cars.

there is a guy on ebay that does them for a number of holden models.

you just have to email him what car you have and he does the rest

We have no sample and no drawing to reproduce from; there is no mention in our parts books either

The only reference I can find for the tyre placard is in my owner manual (Page 46)dated June 1973. There is a general blurb about the placard and it also states:

"AT NO TIME SHOULD THE TYRE PLACARD BE REMOVED - IT IS PLACED THERE AS PART OF THE AUSTRALIAN DESIGN RULE REQUIREMENTS"

Australian Design Rule 24 (ADR) refers to tyre selection.

1972 cars (ALJ) do not have ADR 24 on the compliance plate - 22, 25, 26. So no tyre placard.

1973 cars (BLJ) do have ADR 24 on the compliance plate - 22, 24, 25 & 26.

My car's placard Part Number is 9930027ND.

Hi,

Got a pic of my tyre placard. It has a few bubbles and missing some print but it is off my 5/73 XU-1
It has a different part numer to the picture in the above post.

Any one else to confirm these ?
What about other models? Same part number?

You can make out the 6.00JJ rim size, not sure if the tyre reads CR70R13 or CR70H13.
