Hey again all.

Anyone done a V6 convo or have a websiste of someone who has?

I've seen the V6 conversions site and castlemain rod shop.

Anyone in VIC done this and willing to give me a look and/or drive?

The v6 convo I have planned is into an LX hatch body. If anyone who has done it and made their own engine mounts, please email me or PM me.

Cheers

I'm planning on this same coversion during Christmas! Already got everything I need including the engine & trans. I think the kit I have (purchased 2nd hand) is from V6 conversions in NSW... Just looking at it, you need an unleaded filler neck, elec fuel pump, engine mounts that are welded in place of the old ones, modified sump and a custom wiring loom that plugs into the standard torana engine harness. Not sure about tailshafts yet but I may need a shortened version - I think the T700 is the same output shaft as trimatic/M21...

Gimme a call on 0408536912 if you want a hand with the job, mate.

I'd love to see how it all goes together and performs at the end.

I'm in Somerville, Vic, if thats close enough.

Cheers.

I been thinking of doing this is my LC but I have a VT Commodore and the power it puts out im not happy with it. But with the power to weight ratio of the torry it might be a very quick car.

I know a guy in Perth who has put a V6 Supercharged in his LC. I am yet to go for a ride cause he smashed it after planting his foot and doing a circle at 60kmh.

Interesting website, I was thinking of doing this conversion on my LX when the old 202 died, but was told by other people that other aspects of the driveline, such as brakes, had to be also upgraded? Unable to afford the time to do this, i ended up putting in a worked 192. Is anyone able to confirm or refute this theory?

I think that would be up to the engineer flukey77... As LX's were offered with 253 and 308's with no brake changes over 6cylinders I don't think it would be a problem.

I was lucky with the kit I got, I got twin cats to suit the torana body too... I'll need to find one or two suitable thermo's though.

The CRS kit doesn't set the engine back as far as it should....needs another half inch.
Unless using an aftermarket manifold, the superchargers are a drama to fit.

Grant..
