A little while ago while stripping down an old hatch i had,I found some crayon
numbers under the passenger side seat on the steel floor.
The car was an original 6cyl SS and was in a real bad way.
the numbers were "9 X"
No 'a' anywhere(bugger) but i was wonderin if anyone else has found this sort of thing and knows what they mean??
Cheers Damo

I know that, I'm asking what colour the car was in the original question. The car in the picture is Flamenco red.

If it's the hatch I'm thinking of, it was orange, which matches the markings on another orange hatch I used to ahve.

So reda9x do the crayon numbers on some cars mean the colour and trim, so why do a9x's have a crayon marking that means another option level. and did all a9x's have the same markings.

the number is colour, i don't know every colours number, the A9X's were marked the way they were purely for easy ID on production.

I will be interested to know whats under your carpet Damo. I am still doubtful about the consistancy of these marks. I have seen a few SS's with no such marks. Others say all SS toranas had such a mark. I have seen it before in another Ultra Blue A9X marked 12A9X.

hehe Toranavista, give me 20 mins and then look at mine, it will take me that long to find a crayon ;) To be honest I have never lifted the carpet to that degree on mine, perhaps Bruce has already marked it lol

But I do have the tunnel lol

Cheers
