I don't think it's a race A9X like they say it is. Bryan Wilson never raced an A9X to my knowledge, I certainly could never find and records on him, but if anyone can, please let me know.

They don't actually say that this A9X was ever raced, it may have just been a race shell that Bryan Wilson had sitting in the garage and never got around to using, and subsequently sold it off.

Something about this article seems a lot more genuine than most old articles talking about hotted up A9Xs.

love the pic comment:
"Indicative of the traction problems, black rubber is left on the road all the way in first. A gap, then it starts again in second. Keeping car straight off-line was a problem too. But it means less strain on mechanicals"

l have a couple of pics at home from the 1992 A9X Nationals of a white A9X hatch that had twin turbos. It was from SA l think. Could be the same car, the car in the pics looks to have extra inlets on the sides of the scoop as this car also did.

Was for sale at the time for $35k :D

If you read it, the story says it was a spare, which says to me he had at least 2. I can't find this guys name in any books at all from the era. The chrome around the windows suggests this is not a race shell anyway.
