the color you see is just one quick coat and it will darken up a bit with a sand three more coats maybe even a preal or two

anyway I want to see what you guys thought I have a worked 186 with a 4 speed box for it and a stock 308 ( I am rebuilding so it fresh) witnh a trimatic and I am trying to work out what to put in it I guess most would say the 8 but I now a my 186 can move ok as well, when i have some more time I will list the mods I plan and the parts I have lined up for it

I'd be intersted to see the tail lights as a few of the members are looking for ideas for UC replacements. Go 8 you will regret it if you don't.

I'd love to see what you are going to do with the tail lights, always good to see what other lights look like on the arse of a UC.

In regards to the engine, ultimately it's your choice, both will have good points and bad. Just a case of weighing up the options and deciding what you want from there.

Good luck with it.

I want to put a set of those "halogen cook top" style lights off a Skyline on my UC.

Hmmm very intriguing project mate, i never even though of how easy it is to flatten that section off and adapt any lights into it. (The LH/LX section wouldn't be easy to get looking good).

Great idea, and I'll definately be keeping my eyes on how it all turns out.

Its looking good :spoton: Cant wait to see how the tail lights turn out,

Tough 6's are pretty fun, and chew less fuel.

There are loads of nice uc's going around now :D :D

the commy lights look good, never thought of that. Unfortunately the rear lights are what make the uc look a little bit wrong, the rest of the car are a great thing,(more refined lx)

one other thing though, please dont tell me your car stands are made out of wood! Ahhhhhh!! No!

yeah I knew I would get "shit "about the axle stands but I would trust my life on them, they feel alot more stable than the old metal stands.
I had I am a builder by trade and the have brace straping on the and are glued and screwed together, built like a brick shit house

I guess its kind of " RED NECK " and in a prefect world I would have brand new stands but i would rather spend the $165 on the car and not stands

thanks for you input will try to get some more photos up soon
