Has anyone attempted replacing the lower cowl panel on a LX/LH/UC as shown below (part 7)??

I recall seeing pictures of someone on here doing it but couldn't find them, any tips on how hard it will be to do?
My lower windscreen rail is spotted with rust holes and the leg on the passenger side pretty holey, it looks like part of it has been replaced before and positioned too far inboard giving me a bad gap where the leg on the base of the a pillar meets the guard and door.

There has been two successful goes at it, keep checking members projects.
Doesn't look too hard of a job, un picking the spot welds and supporting the chassis will be the two major hurdles for the novice afaik.
I would have the chassis supported at several places and level, not just on all 4 wheels, to assist with re alignment.

Yeah, if you look in LX5008's hatch build, the fella doing the resto' removes the cowl,
replaces the air box rim with a good UC one, and completely rust proofs the entire inside
area, normally impossible to get at.

I dont know about an easy job!! but yeah a fair bit of unpicking, drilling etc.

PM him, and he might link you some pics.

The pics above are of No.8 not No.7 are they not?

How much of No.7 is rusted out? Any pics you can put up?

No.7 just has rust pitting around the lower window channel, when I hit it with the wire wheel some holes came through.
I spent the whole day mig welding up the holes, I luckly won't need to replace it now but what a waste of a day off :)

I dont thik that it would have been that hard to get off just time consuming.
