G'day All

I have already booked my motel (Formule 1) and it has locking gates that shut at 10.30pm and re-open 6.30am. :spoton: Good security for wee beastie :spoton: :spoton:

I've cancelled my camp site at Bathurst for Easter as the GTR & XU-1 Nationals have been cancelled and I am not all that interested in the IMG promoted show.
Bathurst accommodation is at a premium at Easter.

Should imagine accommodation around Eastern Creek will also be be getting hard to find come September.

My son BJ will be coming with me so with all things being equal, it should be a great Father's Day weekend :D :spoton:

Regards.........................Barry.

I'm sure I should be able to get a decent A9X club presence at this event, not as big as last year, but I'm hoping next year will be huge, 30 years of A9X

Why is that Red? Last years from what I read was a huge sucsess, usually when that happens things get bigger as the years go on.

You mean the drunks and yobs hear about it and start showing up?

Barry, what is the IMG thing? I thought that the Easter thing was actually being run by the Bathurst City Council. Can you clarify? Despite that and having stuff for the kids, I don't know if I'm gonna make it, Easter is just difficult with family commitments, etc.

Will definitely have a look at the Sydney thing though, and pray for good clear weather.

The Bathurst event is being put on by the Bathurst City Council and it was them who told Muscle Car Events that they were no longer having the use of Conrod Straight on the Sunday although it had been booked back in June 2004.

They were also told that they could not use the Bahturst Showground Pavillion as per Torana the Great 2004, Mmmmmmmm

I "believe" that IMG is also involved and possibly that the Bathurst City Council may have not been able to do it by themselves?

As there is a wide and varying opinion on IMG, the main concensus is that they are not car orientated people of which has a bearing on how they put on a show for cars and how they go about doing things.

Legally speaking of course "This is only allegedly so"

Disappointed that theGTR & XU-1 Nationals are not on? U-betchya but life goes on and I'm preparing for the Muscle Car Masters.

I may not have a U-beaut V8 powered muscle car but I'm quite happy to take my wee beastie to Eastern Creek and just soak up the atmosphere with my son BJ.

I can see no mention of IMG on here:- http://www.bimf.com.au

WPS are the main sponsor. I agree with you that if IMG were involved I wouldn't be, as they have treated us poorly as a Club previously.

Mmm, gonna sit on the fence on the Easter thing, Eastern Creek is sounding like a real possibility.

The A9X presence will not be as big because last year was our Nationals, this year the Nationals is in Tassie. I'd say only the local guys will go to te AMC Masters this year so most will go to Tassie.
