G'day all, since purchasing my first Torana last Sundaii, I have decided to slowly build her up and restore her slowly so it can be my first car. Listed are the specs of my new pride and joy (will have pics A.S.A.P);

1970 LC Torana S 2600

ENGINE:
- Red 161 (27,000 miles)
- 3 speed TRIMATIC column auto
- New standard Excaust

WHEELS:
- 14 inch Hk stockie with GTR XUI Center caps and chrome wheel trims
- Original spare in boot a Goodyear tyre straight from 1972.

INTERIOR:
- original brown interior
- pioneer mp3 headunit & 6x9's in parcel shelf with spacers and 6 inch pioneer speakers in kickpanels with a 400rms amp running it all
- Original brown vinyl seats front & rear - small rips on stiching and no burns
- Original door trims complete with chrome trims
- brand new brown moulded carpet
- rear door rubbers are original and look brand new, front ones need to be changed
- Pacel Shelf looks like its just came out of the factory and also has original dealer sticker on the back window

HISTORY:
- Original 24,000 miles by elderly couple from Marysbrough
- 5-cent peice of rust in the rear window, floor planel has been changed
- originally Turquoise but resprayed by original owners in the same colour
- I believe I am 2nd owner

FUTURE PLANS:
- put a cam and new carbies in her
- Fix door rubbers
- Install front air dam
- Install extractors and new exhaust

MODIFICATIONS (will be updated):
- rebuilt front caliper and drum brakes
- put new discs in her and changed all wheel bearings
- Brought Hk stockies and painted them and made them look like gtr stockies (TUFF), also modified the back two rims so they fit an 8 inch trye on them and a dished in 1 inch towards the car

Feel free to post any feedback or tips you might have as having only owned the car for a short time, my dad used to do these cars up when he was a kid but my knowledge is limited

Thanks,

Michael

That looks really nice mate. Very orginal. I thought i did good with my 47,000 mile LJ SL, but yours looks even cleaner than mine did.

Keep us posted.

I brought another LJ four door, mainly for the manual box and pedals, buts its handy for parts. I recommend it if you have someone to store a parts car.

thats a good suggestion steve,,
the only thing wrong with that is that i have no room for it at home,
pluss my car is in pritty good nic so i dont need that many parts to bringit back to original
nost of the original parts on it are in good condition,, i even pulled the wheel bearing off last week because i changed them and they look brand new still with the original grease still in it

That first post setup looks surprisingly familiar :tease: LOL JK.

Top project to start on and best of luck with it :spoton: Nothing beats the look of a real stocker.

Cheers,
mick
