Hi, I'm restoring a 10/73 LJ GTR and would like to know if they came out with a gtr grill badge and boot badge and if so what is the correct placement of them , I have seen lots of pictures some with and some without especialy the grill badge but haven't been able to find any official detailing , hope someone can help me,Cheers

There's some dimensions here somewhere re: the boot badge.
The grill badge was one of those things that Holden wasn't consistent with. Some were positioned up, some down, etc etc. Could've been a difference in the different factories, or just that the badge-putter-onner wasn't thinking too straight on a Friday arvo and put it in the 'wrong' spot. Photos of the day show a bit of both...

Thanks, the boot badge should be no probs, but the grill badge has me stuffed,from what I've seen it looks like the 71LC GTR had the grill badge , and the LJ's didn't , maybe a few owners of Lj's thought they looked cool so they added them later ( I like the look ), but I'm going for the original look . I know it's nit picking , but I just like seeing it for what it is . pardon my ignorance who's Bazza ?

Hey keva i could be wrong but im pretty sure lj gtr came out with a grill badge mine did any way and whose bazza well as tim said he knows what he is talking about when it comes to toranas cheers.

I owned a lj gtr,they had them fitted on the grill,boot,door trims,and steering wheel,is this what you want keva,cheers.

Yep, P/N 2819245 with 2 brackets P/N 2819277. It is a special badge because 2810503 (all other GTR badges LC and LJ) do not have the pin length to fit the LJ grille.

I have drawings from a GTR XU1 in a book I could scan and email if you want.
It is in Fiv Antoniou's "Holden Torana GTR XU1"
