Hi all
I am looking for some replacement front bucket seats for my LH. I have looked at VR-VS Calais but that looks like too much modification work for me. I was wondering what others have done before to get a comfortable seat low enough to have head room still, will VL seats fit in without too many mods??
any help and pictures appreciated.

Thanks
Leigh

Do you have photos of mods done?? when I have sat the seat in the car and got in my head is hitting the roof, it looked like I was going to have to modify the seat rails to reduce space from runner to seat, that means more problems on the drivers side with the height adjustment. If there is a way that has been done before by someone I would love to see and make my job a lot easier.

As above dude. The front half of the floor pan is the same.

As Moot says, nothing is a straight up bolt in fit, they all required some sort of enginuity to get them in. I have SAAS seats in mine using the original rails, modified to fit the seats.

The other option is to get your original seats retrimmed and refoamed to create more body hugging contures in it. A few people here have done that.

My advise is to work out what seats you want, then work out how to fit them. If you can't work it out for yourself, hopefully you have some clever mates that can do it for you, otherwise you may have to resort to paying someone.

Those WRX seats of Makka's look sh*t hot and weren't too hard to fit by the sounds of it.
Makka, can you provide a little more detail about what was involved in your conversion, please? What did you need to do to the rails to fit up to the original bolt holes? What year model WRX were your seats out of?

These are the sorts of questions you need to be asking.

Some seats will, some won't. There's no hard and fast answer.

I don't mean to sound patronising and I hope you can take something away from this.

Best of luck.
