Wash it off with a hose? Or get one of them static electrically charged dusters that act like a magnet.

I have never had to remove built up dust from a car that has accumulated dust over a period of time but this is what I do to wash mine.

Hose it off as thoroughly as I can first. At this stage I do not wipe the car with any sort of chamoise or sponge! Just hose it well.

Then I get a quality car wash - personally I use Meguiar's. Ensure you have plenty of suds and wash liberally this time using a sponge.

I then hose the car again to remove remnants of any suds.
I then use a quality chamoise with warm water (my personal preference arm water, it dries better)

Finally I use Mequiar's Gold or Nxt generation Tech Wax.

I won't swear this is the best way to wash your car but it works for me. My car always looks pretty good.

Other here may have other preferred methods so listen to all or any and then make up your mind.

Cheers

I like most peoples used to wash my car regularly ...until I was told by a wise man that water and metal dont go together very well with the end result being the old enemy RUST. It makes a lot of sense when you think about it....that water goes into every little nook and cranny and sits there and RUSTS...I dust my car with an electro magnetic duster then wet chamois it. Not that it ever needs it as it's like a baby to me.

Anyway food for thought when you turn the hose on next time and blast your car with water.. :D

Nest time I wash my car and then admire it as it gleams like new I will think of all the dirty rustbuckets around and thank god for water!

Just remember Herne.....beauty is only skin deep and under that skin are pools of water just lying in the bottom of panels just eating your pride and joy away(ever so slowly) I say go the damp chamois. :D

Ha
You think you got dust
I'm going to need a hammer and wide blade chisel to get the dust off my cars
This is the clean car
Not long after this pic someone drew a blower and injector hat in the dust on the bonnet and scratched the paint

This is car #4 in my dust collection club apparently

The others are much worse
The orange coupe is so thick the kids couldn't even write on the window

I was going to make the comment that Viper might need to join the "Dust Collection Club" now that Tiny has moved the Munro out. :D
