Decisions, Decisions.

I'm trying to decide between two colours

I need some feedback here guys.

Which colour do you think would be best for an LX Sedan done up like an SLR5000 without the flares.

Manderine Red ?

or

Blood Orange ?

It's very difficult to judge colours on a computer screen, taken from different cameras with different light etc. Basically Blodd Orange is a very bright deep orange and Mandarine Red is like an Orange with red in it (it's a hybrid).

These are the best I can do for now:

If the car is to be one solid colour i would choose the blood orange. If it is to have the SLR5000 blackouts i would choose Mandarin. The red and Black are in just the right balance on the LX. You also need to consider the interior and how it will look with either exterior paint colour. I think the orange lends itself to lighter colour interiors but the mandarin looks the part in black.

Being the ex owner of a Blood Orange FPV GT l would say Blood Orange, the best colour Ford have ever done :spoton:

I went past an auto paint supply place and asked to see their paint charts to compare. No I'm really confused.

When I compared the two cards side by side, the Mandarine Red looked more orange and was brighter than the Blood Orange. But I've seen brand new Falcons on the road, with Blood Orange (I think so anyway) and could swear that they were far brighter than the Mandarin Red that I've seen on Torry's.

did you take them into the sun, blood orange looks like it has alot of pearl in it

. I vote blood orange, nice colour.

im a spraypainter the mandarin red is brighter and a much cleaner colour i vote the mandarin red, way better

Mine is Salamanda red, and does look redder than mandarin red which looks fairly much orange to me in the pics. Though to many people my Salamanda red is also appears as orange, which annoys me........as i dont particularly like orange, though i admit under lights at night i can see that myself. That is my 10cents.
