The Canberra Motorsport Supporters Group (CMSG) have launched their website with all the info on the demise of the Canberra International Dragway (CID). As per usual the "Sunday sherry sippers" and NIMBYS (Not In My Back Yard) are having a whinge about noise that may, or probably wont, happen.
We need numbers.
It doesnt matter that you dont live in the ACT area, those that dont are what the government calls "Tourists".
To date we have some 800 registered members (in 8 weeks) but we need more. Hell...even lurkers can join
Please go to www.cmsg.org.au and fill in the online registration form.
The cmsg are trying to get our drag strip back...one day you may need us to return the favour.

Thanks

Done! I fully support all the right planning processes to take place but carnt believe how bad the NIMBY's are in ACT/NSW. Too many people with too much spare time.

Can you believe there was a lawn mower protest on the lawns of the Legislative Assembly the other day. The opponents of the dragway said they were running the mowers at the Db level that would be experienced by residents.

Wish I could find the report that showed that a toilet flush would be louder than the sound of a top fuel dragster in Hackett. Maybe Phil can find it.

Maybe they can stop going to the toilet, fill up with toxins, and explode!
