HQ?? Seats into lc coupe

Just thought i would post up a couple of pics of what i have been up to for the past hour or so.. It started when i went to a local wrecker to pick up some lj seats that i thought were for a 2 door but ended up being the rigid back ones out of a 4 door. So the guy at the wrecker said i could have a set of seats out of a hq wagon i think they were for free cause they had no runners, so i was going to use the adjusting mechanism in the 4 door seats.
Anyway i was bored today so thounght i would see how much mods it would take to fit the 4 door rails onto the hq seats, to my suprise they pretty much bolted straight on. Only a couple of very small mods had to be made to allow the sliding mechanism to work but overall it was a very easy job.
The seats werent as wide as i thought they would be and the door closes easily and my head doesnt touch on the roof (im 6" 4')

They arnt the nicest colour but are as comfy as hell so im thinking bout just getting these retrimmed in a week or so and use them when my cars finnished. I dont think they would need to be engineered either cause there is no modification to the structure of the seat or where it bolts to the floor

I think that your seats are out of a UC Torana.

Hi all,
agree they look like later Torana, I got HJ coupe
seats in the HQ Monaro. I'd need to go check to be
100% as they have sheepy's on them (need retrim)

Im not 100% sure but i think hq seats are to wide for lc and lj can someone shed some light on this.

Some light, This is the measurements and bolt pattern for LJ seats.

Yep, LH-LX-UC seats to me... They look like a UC trim option though.

Thats weird that they are torana seats cause the guy at the wrecker said they came out of a hq wagon (can never trust a wrecker) any way there is no clearnace issues and the fit nicely)
they will definatly get a retrim

They may have been out of a HQ, My old HQ had UC seats sitting on HQ Rails...

agreed, look the same as my UC seats, if you have hatchback ones then you will be able to flip them forward to gain access into the back, but I cant see the leaver so they must be from a sedan. anyway I agree, UC seats are really comfy hey
