G'day I am looking at buying some new wheels for my Torana, which has no wheels at present. I have HQ stud pattern.
What sort of troubles would I have with putting on 18 inch wheels with a low profile.
I am looking at a Speedy wheel called Inferno (which has a stagger option) which only comes in 18and 19".

Plus I have flares if that makes any difference and the car is a hatchback.

Any help would be great,
Cheers
Leith

The first problem will be getting them in a suitable offset. The second problem will be ride quality, as a 35 profile is probably as big as you will be able to go. You might get a 225/40R18 to fit, but it will still ride like a steam roller.

i'm running 255/35/18 on the front on a 8 inch wheel, offset 4inch in 4 out. on the back 295/30/18 on 11 inch rim 5inch offset on the innner, 6 on the outer. Also running on a hatch. front flares had to be trimmed on the front edge to clear on full lock. Rides fine to me.

If you changed to a commodore stud pattern what sort of issues do you get with regards to the different offset.
Can you get commodore rims in a decent offset?

I think I might go this way due to virtually unlimited wheel types.

Is there much difference between 17" 18" fitment wise ( changing the profile to suit)?
