I have seen some official photos from the launch of the GTR.The blue GTR with the black interior.....As I believe ,there were two other GTR's. Has anyone else seen any good pics of these cars?

Nice one Kerm74.....So what colour was the third one? Was it made in Adeliade or does it feature on the Brisbane equilavent of the Melways....The Brisways?

Yes,I've seen Judith doing the "Breakaway" gig.....Rumour has it ,Judith was given a new GTR after doing the commercial....? Anyone know if this is really true? Perhaps Judith is hiding one of the early ones in her garage....?

I understand Judith Durham was "given" one of the first handfull of LC GTR's made for appearing in the "Breakaway" add.

I am led to believe this car was infact a Kashmir White car with a BVR.

"Cheers"

Hey Mr Pantah - I have no doubt that when Jude sees you mounting Bazza's bike in that way she will be in touch - in more ways than one!

A big assumption indeed - perhaps based on the striking figure you cut on Mike's even more impressive bike.

Just a few interesting facts I found out about Judith.....
Durham is her mothers maiden name.In fact Judith is a Cock...! Thats right her real surname was Cock...! She was also born and grew up in Essendon...!
She had a car accident on the Calder in the late 90's.She sustained leg injuries and the other driver was killed.I am hoping she wasnt driving the LC that she may or may not have been given after the " Breakaway" gig....!

Hi 2600s - love the gtr - would be great to see that car at Hanging Rock in feb (located near Woodend Victoria) - a long drive but sure would be a hell of a ride - could be a gathering of very tasty GTR's at that event - cool given that the gtr is far less seen than the XU1 - hope to see you there,

Was speaking to this Bloke who used to know Geoff Cox from Coxy's big break (Victoira)
And when Geoff Cox worked for 3XY in the early 70's the car he was driving was a Lina mint LC XU1
Was lent to him by either Holden or 3XY cant remember of hand
They said he used to give it a thrashing lol

Today I recieved a reply from Judith Durham's website ! The commercial was shot as part of a sponsorship agreement for a TV special ( most likely 'Farewell the Seekers'). She remembers making the commercial but is unsure if it was in 1969 or 1970. Judith was not paid for the commercial ( as it was part of a sponsorship agreement ) and was not " given " an LC GTR ,but in fact was offered the use of one for the two or three weeks she was in Melbourne.............

I wast really expecting a reply to my mail,so I was pretty pleased when it arrived today.

Thanks .Maybe in March I may try to get a look at it.What I really want to see are the three cars used in the realease of the LC GTR.Specifically the interiors of the cars.Anyone out there got any shots or know of where I may be able to see them ?
