But a Jigsaw will make easy work of it.

I used a dremel tool (an imitation, but does the same job) to do mine. Dremel-type tools are much handier than jig saws and will produce cleaner, less jagged cuts in the door cards.
Cheers,

If you want it in the door cards then a dremel is not a bad way.

Why?6x9's in the front are one of the easiest ways to ruin any decent sound quality in a car.

The slow method is to use a sharp knife, doesn't take long to cut through the board
But if you are flush mounting the speakers you need to cut away some metal in the inner door so as you have room for the speaker magnet to sit. The alternative is to have them protruding and use MDF or fibreglass and on a Torry I dont think it looks quite right, a bit ricerish if you ask me. Jigsaw cuts the inner door if you decide you have to.
Getting 6" speakers in the drivers side kick panel doesnt leave a lot of room for the accelerator pedal, I ended up putting 4" speakers in my custom console for that very reason. (Lh LX not sure about other Torries).
Then again regardless of what gear I have in the car I am not big on music whilst driving, I like to hear the dual 2.5" symphony

Cheers
