Hey guys,

Ive just recently had my engine rebuilt, new rings, bearings, crank ground, and stainless steel valve seats in my head. It was off the road for 3 weeks and im stoked to have it back running again. It feels a lot stronger than it used to, before it was rebuilt it was dynoed at 151rwhp.

Heres some specs for ya.

Its an engine built for nitrous. 202 + 40thou, flat top pistons, blue rods, nitrous cam .238 & .248 @ .50, 1.6 inlet & 1.5 outlet ratio roller rockers, 186 YT head big valves etc, straight cut gears, triple 1.75 HIF SU's, 2.5" exhaust, elec dizzy and splitfire 8.8mm leads, lightened flywheels and heavy duty clutch.
Ive got all the nitrous gear waiting to be hooked up, though i still need a microswitch and purge kit.

Heres some pics, sorry for those on dialup!

hey mate, its not a button clutch, but yeh it has 5 springs, though each one is a twin spring, just like double valve springs. So 10 in all.

Not a bad clutch :) Pretty heavy, gonna have to upgrade the rat trap to hydraulic very soon.

Hi draglc

Great engine!

This might be a silly question, but is your car registered? Isn't nitrous illegal in Qld in street registered cars?

Cheers

Mark

Hey mate,
It is a nitrous engine, but i dont have anything in the car to do with the nitrous, except the foggers in the manifold but thats it, and nothings connected to them so im not worried.

Yep you better go to a hydraulic set as it gets pretty annoying snapping the ends off the the clutch rod. What have you done to keep the flywheel from coming loose, any new tricks?

Nup, just loctite, never had a problem with the flywheel coming loose. Ive snapped a few bits of the rat trap before, and ive packed it with washers and its all nice and tight, though i do keep a spare clutch rod in the boot.
