i have have the bonnet, doors and GTS guards in primer now ( thanks to the help of my girlfreinds dad).

i will freshen up the motor, cam it, 4 barrel intake might deck the heads ect, shift kit the auto.

it will be sprayed tangerine ( we have 3L left from another project thats been finished) with lone O'ranger GTS stripes.

i will build a tray for it, dont know if i will go hard wood tray or marine carpet with wheel tubs thru the tray still deciding.

oh yeah i have a set of dragway mags, cragers or rebels to choose from for it tyres are 245 rear tyre, 225 fronts.. what do you guys reckon? which mags should i run?

Make sure you check hard for chassis cracks radiating from the welds where the lower rear control arm mounts are welded on. Plus around the shock tower where it's welded on. Easy to fix with it apart like you have it. HQ-HX tonner chassis are renowned for it. The Holden fix was the chassis strengthening bars you see on HZ and WB.

yeah i read about them, i have checked those spots as i had to sand the front end down a bit to paint it, i dont think it has a really hard life as it was only a 253 auto, i know 308's in hq one tonna's are a bit of a problem with cracking...

lol everyone is gonna want to know where your property is now. But don't worry you can trust me to not tell them. There are so many turns between mine and yours that I'm never gonna remember how to get there!

This car won't be staying for long will it?

I had a choice between some old school "wire" wheels and the chrome ones like yours with decent tyres.

They dont look too bad with a decent polish.

Id like a set of 8s for the back, but it would blow my budget with tyres!
