Rory runs one in his car (albeit with a locker if I recall correctly). I copied his setup for my hatch with a warm-ish 308, been to the drags a couple of times and give it a hard time everywhere with not a problem. Not sure if I can explain it but it feels so much more capable than the old Banjo!

Although when you say tiny do you mean 2 pinion/25 spline?

The weak point in the BW is the LSD centre. If you replace it with a spool, KAAZ or Lokka then it will be able to handle more power.

The weak point on the BW diff is the tubes plug welded into the housing, with slicks, sticky track and enough torque put to the ground on launch they just twist the tubes out of the housing.

Usually around 500Hp+ and a good rear end setup will do it.

Its got mini tubs adjsutable arms Coil overs and 18by10's! I dont really wanna go to nine inch (already cut the bw down n welded brackets to the cast EKK )but then i dont wanna break the borgwarner!

If it is mainly for the street the b/w will be fine, they can take a decent amount of power & abuse.I know of several 11sec commodores that have lasted a very lo9ng time only wearing out the lsd...of the ones that have broken eventually they were drag raced with slicks puttig out quite a bit of power & did numerous passes before breaking the old 2nd hand diff gears in them.

I'm still going to keep the b/w in my lc...it's still going quite well with the abuse I gave it.

Would there be a way to rectify this???

Perhaps putting pins in the housing so it cant twist around, if you get what i mean.

IE, where the tubes go into the housing, drill and insert pins through that join to stop it from twisting....

Cheers.

Yep, my 9"in the3 torrie shat itself on a wet track at about 40% pace. 2nd lap in. Non-LSD and the gears went. Wheels locked up which wasw a lot of fun. Now replaced with 2.78 LSD centre and driving with fingers crossed. R
