Lay it on bare metal, then you can do your repairs over it if you want.

I would love to hear from you guys any comments on which is the best epoxy primer to use on bare metal.
This is what i use just as an etch primer. Its a single pack epoxy and it dries very quick as well, you can leave in your gun for ages then give it a stir
just before you want to use it, I use it to cover an area if im not sure how long it will be before i can get back to it. I then use a two pac high fill over it .

Just as an example, i had a large water tank sandblasted at work. I put two coats of this primer over it two years ago, and it is only just starting to show some surface rust.
Just get it.

Ditto for me...have a got 4 year old panel painted in the stuff under my house that doesnt look like rusting

Just wondering where (preferably in Sydney, Bankstown area) I can buy the 2 pack epoxy primer and hot rod chassis black 2 pack?
