Dyno Day, JT Automotive, 2/15 Bult Drive Brendale ~ 21 March, 2009 .....

A dyno day has been organised for club members and guests at JT Automotive, 2/12 Bult Drive, Brendale on Saturday 21 March, 2009.

The day will kick-off at 7:30am and continue until all cars have been dynoed. In-place will be some car pre-dyno safety checks such as checking for oil/fuel leaks, BAD engine noises and in addition, checking that fuel mixtures are correctly set.

Three power-pulls per car will be done and owners will be given a printout detailing the car's performance.

The cost is $50.00 per car and is payable on the day. An ATM is available within the immediate vicinity of JT Automotive.

QTCC is looking at putting-on a sausage sizzle to satisfy the hunger-pangs of the attendees.

Being that this is a QTCC event for members and guests, the Club would prefer to see your Torana being tested, however non-Toranas will not be disadvantaged.

As it's important to get numbers for organisational reasons, members and guests are encouraged to ring JT Automotive on 3205 2111 to book-in for this event.

Please note that this is QTCC event and we are inviting members of GMH-T as guests.

Why and what did you break man ?

Have been to heaps and heaps of Dyno days and hardly ever seen any issues at all with any of the cars.

Two gearboxes! Plus numberous overheating issues and all kinds of crap. Car got half tuned about 2 years ago, broke a box, got it towed home, took me 6 months to put another supposed good box in it, drove it there half tuned, broke it again, another 6 months to fix it. Spent alot on a proper trimatic then it didn't break the 3rd time around, just overheated! :<_<:

Thought I would post a few pics up from the day.

Unfortunately I got there too late and missed out on all the action !! Ah well, I guess thats all part of being a parent.

I did manage to put a few faces to names (waz355 and 308nut) and take a photo or two.

Im not sure what each car ran. But I think Juicey (N/A 355) spun up 430 rwhp (?) and 308nut (330) did 396 without NOS and 492 with NOS killing the dyno machine in the process !!

Anyway, a couple of photo's for your viewing pleasure.

No, I am lucky enough to have one at work. Have been playing with it lately, but haven't done any power runs for a while. Had it on the dyno the other day but by the time I had finished playing around with the tune the neighbours complained so I pulled the pin. Will see what the track says next weekend, can't wait!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
