As some may know I am building a few cars at the moment which include an original SLR/5000 in Cottilion White with Herringbone trim and an A9X replica (body only) with 308 fitted with a 6/71 supercharger and turbo 350 box. As such I needed two lots of trim done so someone put me onto Steve at Cools Auto Trim in Peakhurst. So I went to see him and organised the two complete interiors to be with the SLR in Slate black with Herrigbone inserts (I already have the door trims). Steve did all the seats including a set of Recaro's in the A9X pattern, two hoodlinings in original material, tops of the doors and the B and C pillars. The door trims are from Poly Weld who are in the same street as Steve. When I dropped them off I said, "Mate take your time I'm not in a hurry", well about a month later he called and I had these. What do you think??

Looks the goods mate. Looks like I'll be adding a full set of trims to my list. Can he do them in the Chamois color as well?

Yes buddy Chamois is not a problem. The prices were very reasonable and I forget the breakdown but it cost me all up $5000.

They certainly look great and I am sure you are happy but I know of people who have had a full leather interior fitted for 5K and not that long ago.

Cheers

It was for two complete cars plus an extra pair of seats guys so say around $2500 a car in original material. CHEAP

They look great! Any idea how the grey golf ball compares in shade to the original stuff in terms of matching an original back seat?
Did they fit the covers or did you source that out?
Cheers

Like LXRANA said, the 5g's was all up. The only thing I already had was the LH SLR door trims. I'm not sure about the match to original but they all look original. I have a pair of original front seats I can check against the rears to see how close they are. Steve made and fitted the whole lot.

Looks like a nice job.To save me wasting his time(I'm not ready yet)Would you know if he has access to other early Holden fabrics?I'm thinking of the dark red that was used on HD-HR Holdens. Also, would he be up for a custom hoodlining, bows and all?I only ask because I know what it's like to have dickheads ring for quotes and not get back for months. Or should I just call him?Cheers Craig.

Just give him a call Craig he's a one of the genuine good guys. I know he has a heap of old holden material, he's been collecting it for years.
